- Q: What’s the difference between a Basic Search and MeetingMatcher® (Advanced Search)?
- A: The basic search will allow any user to enter keywords, month, and year only and will return a maximum of 10 matched results. The user will not have the ability to view event details.
- The MeetingMatcher® (Advanced Search) will allow a registered user to enter keywords and other search criteria and will return a maximum of 100 matched results. The user will have the ability to view the event details.
- Q: How do I conduct an effective search?
- A: For best results, select search terms that are directly related to your interest. For example, if you're looking for events that focus on cancer in general, try “cancer.” If you are looking for events that focus specifically on breast cancer, use “breast cancer” rather than just “breast” or “cancer” alone.
- Q: What is MeetingMatcher®?
- A: MeetingMatcher® is a service that will allow registered users to search for events (conferences, trade shows, workshops, etc.) based upon selected criteria. Users will have the option to save their search results as a profile and review them at anytime. In addition, whenever a new and/or updated event has been added to the system that meets a MeetingMatcher’s search profile, an e-mail notification will be sent to you.
- Q: What is an Event Sponsor
- A: A registered user who enters and updates events into the system.
- Q: Can I register as a MeetingMatcher® and Event Sponsor?
- A: Yes. If you are currently registered as a MeetingMatcher® subscriber, all you have to do is go to ‘My Account’ and select the “Event Sponsor” option.
- If you are currently registered as an Event Sponsor, all you have to do is go to ‘My Account’ and select the “MeetingMatcher®” option.
- If you are currently not registered for either option, click the “Register Now” link, create a user account, and select both options.
- Q: Why isn’t my event showing?
- A: Submitted events are subject to review and may remain in a pending status until released for public access.

- A: A brief summary outlining the details of the event. Event Sponsors provide this information to make searches faster and more effective. This summary is shown as part of the search results.
